NEEKZ is a collection of characters based on the different archetypes found throughout humanity. Simple, cute little characters on the outside with depth to each and every one of them. Depth to relate to and eventually a shared commonality with others to confide in when feeling lost. We're all going through this life together so why not try to better understand eachother along the way. Learn more about the Creator / Sage / Magician / Outlaw in you and those around you.

According to a Wikitionary snippet, the term "Neek" means the following:
Noun. neek (plural neeks) (slang, derogatory) A nerd or geek.

I think the meaning of this word is far beyond a derogratory name for a nerd. "Nerds" are cool, man. Learning is a beautiful thing. And because of that, I think it's a DANG good word that can be transformed into meaning something not so derogatory, but instead hold meaning of exploration, understanding, and self-discovery.
THE BACKSTORY
Our interactions with eachother, no matter the length of time or reason, are encoded into our existence.
Effortlessly, here have been countless moments where I experience another person in their raw, authentic states, talking to me about their struggles, passions, fears, and everything inbetween. Despite it all, we are human. And we don't know much else for certain, but the limited time we share here together is.

After some self-exploration, I came across the following quote from Academy of Ideas on Carl Jung that I heavily relate to, “...many of our problems are not unique to us, but common to all of humanity. Simply knowing that we are not alone in our suffering can often have a therapeutic effect as it provides us with a new perspective.” I felt as though I must attempt to share with those around me this sense of understanding and commonality, but in way that is easy to grasp and relate to. Kind of like... pop-culture?

The initial characters of NEEKZ were created during my childhood and they have stuck with me into my adulthood because they symbolize a very important part of my life. A way to relate and make sense of our beings. Though we are more than our characters, we all share a common ground.
